hiya, i'm heyri (that’s my korean name! i also go by christine) and this a picture of me in my old tiny studio apartment with a fishy friend and one of my most prized possessions, la molcajete!

in this corner of the internet, you can find what used to be my private travel journal that naturally metamorphosed into a place to document the present-day-christine, someone who can talk and write about food all.day.long.

food has always been central to many of the relationships i hold most dearly. i’ve experienced it as a delicious way to open new doors, and simply inviting friends into my home has created a space to pause, rest, and enjoy good company amid the everyday demands of life. food is truly a gift, isn’t it!

as some of you have may have seen on the gram, i cook and eat aaaa lot. a few fs in my life (friends, family, followers) eventually nudged me to share my recipes so, here is where you can find them! they're fun recipes spun up from ideas incorporating ingredients that were common in my second generation korean-american upbringing as well as new ones i've discovered along the way. i hope you enjoy my personal anecdotes and perhaps give the recipes a try, beginning new stories in your kitchen.
